About Me
Introduction

Hi, I'm Mishieck Mwale, a software engineer and graphics designer. I've been programming since 2016. I develop apps for web, desktop, and mobile platforms. My primary focus is web development.
In my early days of desktop development I used native languages like Java, front to back. Now, I use web technologies even on native platforms on the frontend. I find it easier to carry my experience across platforms than learning a lot of platform-specific technologies.
I have my ear to the ground. So, I'm always up to date with the latest trends. I like using the best tool for the job. So, I don't stop trying out new things and alternative solutions. I've used so many languages, frameworks, libraries and the like, that I've stopped counting.
When I want to brush up on my skills or learn new concepts, I create hobby projects and paticipate in competitive programming. HackerRank, Leetcode, and Codewars are some of the platforms I do programming on. I also like creating reusable solutions for the problems I face. I do this mostly by writing and publishing libraries. I've published multiple libraries on NPM and JSR.
I got most of my certificates from HackerRank. FreeCodeCamp is another certifier of mine. I've got several skills verified on LinkedIn.
User Interface (UI) design makes up most of my work in graphics design. I also design logos and illustrations. Often I find myself needing to convert a logo from raster formats like PNG to SVG. So, I do that as well.
